Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast

strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast for breakfastI have been making this strawberry cream cheese stuffed French Toast for years. I would have thought it would have been part of one of the many blog post recipes I have done. When I went to look, all I could find was Strawberry Marscapone French Toast, which is delicious but made with cinnamon bread. I also found Strawberry Banana French Toast, but its not stuffed, so its not really close either. I figured since it was strawberry season, this would be an excellent addition to the menu. It just takes minutes to assemble, grill and present to anyone you would like to show your love to. Strawberry Stuffed French Toast- Serves 2 generously.  1 loaf of french bread, 4 oz room temp cream cheese, 1/4 C brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, and 3/4 C milk, 2 eggs, dash of cinnamon and strawberries Cut 6 1 1/2″ slices of french bread. With each slice, make a slit down the middle, making sure not to cut all the way through. Mix cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Generously spread cream cheese mixture between slices of French bread. Slice strawberries. I like to place 2-3 slices of strawberries in between the slices of french bread on top of the cream cheese mixture. Lightly spray your skillet and place on medium heat. While your pan is heating up, whisk together the milk, eggs and cinnamon. Dip French toast slices into the milk mixture being careful not to get the insides of the french toast wet. Grill a couple minutes on each side and then flip until golden brown. Add more sliced strawberries when done and sprinkle with powdered sugar. We like to serve this with Uncle Mikes Maple Syrup. There is nothing else like it!
