The recent craft beer revolution has seen craft breweries popping up all over the U.S. and Wisconsin is certainly no exception! Fans of fresh, local beer will be happy to hear that the Oshkosh craft beer scene offers opportunities for both tastes and tours.
The recent Hops & Props event at the EAA Aviation Museum got us to thinking about the explosion of microbreweries here in Wisconsin and beyond. While most of the mega-breweries that once made Wisconsin famous are gone, the craft brewers who’ve replaced them are reinvigorating that fame.
These new beers combine traditional and modern brewing techniques from around the world. Add in locally sourced ingredients and artistic innovation and you end up with a map of regional beer flavors.
With discovery and collaboration such a big part of the scene, many craft breweries and brew pubs offer tours or at least tastings. The Oshkosh craft beer scene is no different with four popular local breweries to visit.

Oshkosh Craft Beer Tours
With so many craft breweries so close to each other, it would be quite simple to take a self-driving tour of them. The problem, of course, is … someone has to be the designated driver.
You won’t need to flip a coin to see who gets to be the designated driver when you book an Oshkosh craft beer tour.
OshkoshBars’ Oshkosh Brewery Tours visit all four Oshkosh breweries above for only $15 per person. The tours are available Saturdays, from 1pm to 5pm, and are limited to 14 individuals. Learn more at www.oshkoshbars.com.
There are also a good many Oshkosh restaurants and taphouses featuring multiple taps of craft beer from Wisconsin and beyond. The Ruby Owl Taproom, for example, or The Granary, and Fletch’s Local Tap House.
No matter what you’d like to do, Oshkosh likely has it and Brayton Bed and Breakfast would love to help.
